FENCEX 2018 was being described as ‘one of the best’ by exhibitors with just under 400 trade delegates coming through the door for the one day show.

Exhibitors reported ‘a good level of enquiries’ and several have already made significant headway in winning major contracts.

‘We were extremely pleased with how the show went,’ said Ian Law, organiser and editor of Perimeter Systems magazine. ‘The most important aspect is that it was a success for the exhibitors. Feedback was very positive and the numbers was again similar to the show two years ago.’

There were 50 stands in the Warwick Hall at the NAEC centre in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire where the exhibition has been staged since 2002.

‘There were 39 companies exhibiting and we had a waiting list,’ said Law. ‘We attracted a number of major Europeans, as well as one from America. That stature of the show has increased over the years and it now ranks as a ‘must’ for UK and European companies wanting to make their mark here. The new layout was certainly very well received and meant that all companies were in the one hall.

‘Obviously, we have already starting looking at the show for 2020 which will be held on Wednesday, October 10. Already 80 per cent of those attending this year have booked for two years time, so, once again, we are anticipating an early sell out.’

Numbers through the door on the day amounted to 392 and the show reflected a ‘positivity and optimism’ for the future with many companies using Fencex to show new products.

Booking availability for 2020 will open in December.
